The Board of Commissioners’ Public Hearing will be on Tuesday, February 15, 6:00 pm at the Haralson County Rec Gym, 25 Recreation Lane, Buchanan, GA 30113.
We would like to see the building packed to capacity as a show of unity against the landfill!
The Zoning Board meeting, which was at 10:00am on January 18th (a weekday), included over 300 in attendance; and so we would love to have over 1,000 in attendance at the Commissioners’ hearing.
Please plan to come, and bring family and friends with you! Also, it would be great if you could announce to your church this weekend, encouraging everyone to attend this important public hearing on Tuesday, February 15, 6:00 pm.
This public hearing will primarily be for the applicant (Solid Solutions) and opposition (Haralson Alliance) to make their cases to the Board of Commissioners, and for anyone from the Public to make a brief statement. The Commissioners may also ask questions of the applicant about the rezoning application. The Board is expected to make their decision and vote on the rezoning application at their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 1, 6:00pm.
